Gas Powered Lawn Equipment

The impact of using gas-powered leaf blowers was recently brought to the attention of the Board of Trustees (BOT). The engines on gas-powered leaf blowers create air pollution that can cause a significant impact to the lungs.  The noise level created by leaf blowers can exceed 90dB, which can carry over long distances and impact entire communities. 85 dB is the highest level allowed in industrial environments; 70 dB over prolonged periods can lead to hearing loss. The BOT decided it was important to learn what residents think about a potential ban on gas-powered leaf blowers and perhaps a ban on all gas-powered lawn equipment. Your input is important. Please take a few minutes to answer our survey below.  Thank you!
