EV Connect Electric Car Charger:
For those who are not aware, the Village has a public electric car charger. It is located in Village Green. See Map below
UPDATE 7.24: Due to the diligent work of Alice Wagenknecht-Wiesner and the Climate Smart Communities Taskforce, NYSERDA has awarded the Village an additional $60,000 for our rooftop Solar Panel project at the Cayuga Heights Waste Water Treatment Plant as part of their Clean Energy Communities Program.
This award comes to the Village in part due to all our residents who have taken the step to convert their heating/cooling to a Heat Pump System. Thank you for doing your part for helping the Village reach sustainability.
Solar Panel for the Roof of the Plant
We were awarded several grants from NYSERDA in total of ~$74,000. A Contract for the solar installation was awarded to the company Sungineer, see plans below. Construction will begin the summer of 2025.
