A Talk at the Corners for Love Living at Home

Bea Szekely, Village Historian gave a talk through Love Living at Home about the history of Community Corners. It was a busy afternoon here at Village Hall as 35 people met in the courtroom to hear Bea give her talk on the “Corners” history. As hoped, the talk provoked a lively discussion in which ten or twelve people talked about changes in Cayuga Heights and the surrounding area. Less contact with neighbors was a prevailing theme with comments about changing demographics, fewer school children, and fewer community activities. There were, of course, lots of village memories spoken of as well. Everyone was given a map as Bea pointed to various locations which could be seen from the front window of the meeting room. Thank you to all who came out to listen and enjoy. If you missed it or wanted to read the talk click here
